Gwernyfed entertained Llanidloes in an entertaining Friday night fixture.

An early foray into Llanidloes territory saw centre Gareth Dodd chip for the corner and right winger Dewi Jones used his pace following up controlling the bouncing ball well to touch down wide out.

The visitors possessed an older and much heavier pack which the home eight having their work cut out, however, in the loose Gwernyfed's forwards revelled led by a powerful performance by No. 8 Charlie Parry who made good ground on many occasions.

Gareth Dodd was next on the score sheet, charging down his opposite number and winning the foot race to touch down under the posts. Half time score 12-0.

With the lineout working well, Jamie Coles secured good ball for scrum half Morgan Lewis who linked with Parry who again made good ground, he was well supported by second row Tom Millington and the young second row showed good pace to score the home side's third try.

Llanidloes, seventeen points down, rallied with two tries closing the gap to five points. Jamie Coles then made a great line break from his own half and almost made the line but good recycling saw live wire winger Matty Price evade several tackles to claim the  final score in the corner.
